Bike to Work Day

Despite my best intentions, I only ride into work once/year.  Today was that day.  The weather was perfect and traffic was relatively light.  I only have a 7.7 mile ride in and there is a conveniently located breakfast station.

This year it was particularly well stocked.  In addition to breakfast burritos, InfinitusPizza Pie (iPIE) had breakfast pizza, Horizon had Silk Almond milk along with other samples, Lake Shore Athletic Club had Gatorade and trail mix, Ames Granite had tumblers, the Bike to Work organization had prizes, and there were many others that had fruit, muffins, granola bars, etc.  There was also a bike tune station set up.

Pearl Izumi was even out there giving away free socks!

As always, it is nice to be on the bike, and a bonus to be on the road with other riders.  The community does a great job to incentivize people to choose alternate forms of transportation.
