Let's try this again. This car is heads and tails better than the car I purchased for $3300. Hopefully, I can sell the 2007 Subaru Impreza for close to purchase price and eat the $3K I put into fixing it up.
This car handles well, 2 owners, all maintenance records, better mechanical shape, all known issue addressed in the last 2 years, and the seller was also a state employee who is unfortunately selling due to health issues which make it difficult to drive a manual transmission.
Well maintained low mileage Subaru Legacy 2.5i Premium with hard to find manual transmission (stick shift NOT cvt). 2 owner car with clear title (Carfax available). Vehicle is in very good mechanical condition with paint and interior also in good condition (see photos).
Recent maintenance includes:
** Regular oil changes
** Head gaskets replaced, crankshaft, oil pan, oil pump, rear engine and block plug all resealed, throttle body cleaned/serviced, and spark plug wires replaced, at 78,000 miles
** Under 12K on new clutch
Minor damage documented on last picture. Vehicle has been thoroughly cleaned but not detailed.
$6750 obo
UPDATE: 9/26/2024
I ended up purchasing this and have been enjoying it. The hood shock strut supports are supposedly easy to replace and I will order those with the next oil change. The rear window tint is bubbling. I got a quote for $89 removal plus $325 to tint all five windows. This morning, I made the amateur error of catching a curb and ripped the driver side rocker panel off the car. No major damage, but frustrating. I will see about getting it replaced down the road as well.

Got the phone paired for hands free calling which is now the law in Colorado. Also got the homelink working. Pretty simple. First clear out the current controls. Then press learn on the Chamberlain and within 30 seconds press and hold the button you want to program. Vehicle is still running and handling well. For a while the Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) would kick on 30 minutes into a drive and go away after 5 minutes. That issue seems to have resolved. I can link to bluetooth streaming from my phone with the aux feature. I would still like to add a back up camera.
UPDATE: 12/20/2024
First oil change and general inspection. Vehicle in good shape. Got the side rocker panel re-attached and hood struts installed. Misc maintenance items on inspection. Approved brake fluid flush, left front marker light, and radiator cap. Will take care of the cabin air filter myself. Next oil change will take care of the spark plugs.

Priced out new head unit (Alpine ILX-W670) and back up camera at Car Toys and looking at close to $881 without steering wheel controls.
Best Buy recommended a Pioneer DMH-W3000NEX that will have all of the controls and back-up camera for $860 so I made an appointment for February. This unit has good reviews and offers wireless Android Auto. Sirius XM would be another $110 so I am going to hold off on that and speaker upgrade which would be another $280 for Alpine S-Series.
Starting to look at wheels and tires and not going to mess with this. The Michelin Defender T+H are great tires with plenty of tread left. New wheels are not super expensive, but would be at least $500 for a minor cosmetic improvement considering all of the dings the vehicle has already.
UPDATE: 1/24/2025
Had the tires rotated at discount tire. Tread was good. Tires were 5 years old. Typically rubber has 6-10 year life.
UPDATE: 2/8/2025
Edwin at Best Buy installed the stereo head unit and back-up camera. It was a straightforward install and some of the parts we originally ordered would not be required. I also removed the Sirius XM. Parts, installation and sales tax total was $765. Next steps will be (1) spark plugs, (2) speakers? (3) wheels and tires
