Today marks daughter number two’s first day at day care. It is an exciting and agonizing time as it will be a relief to have some help, but nerve racking as no one can care for your child as well as you can. With our first daughter we kind of jumped in and went through 3 different environments before finding one that worked. She is now two and has enjoyed the same provider for the past year. At 2 months old are second is getting her feet wet a little early. I think this will ease the transition to full time.
It will also be nice that both girls are going to the same place and can see each other. With wait lists at various places it would be difficult if they were away from home and separated from each other. It would also be difficult dropping off and picking up at two different places.
With the current economy it is important for both parents to work to have a safety net, but it is tough to not have a full time stay at home parent.

Of course, mom's heart is with the child and so, mom can't get anything done :-) What a LONG afternoon without my lil one.
