John Travolta and Denzel Washington team up for a terrific thrill ride in The Taking of Pelham 123 (Pelham). All the previews scream action flick and Pelham does not disappoint. There are a couple of interesting subplots that underlie the constant drama and suspense. The only criticism is that the violence and language seem over the top at times considering the background of the characters.
I don’t know much about the original, but I would recommend this film for after the kids go to sleep.
