The folks at Triswim were kind enough to send out a sampler pack of their body care products which include shampoo, conditioner, body wash and lotion. The claim to fame is that it gets the chlorine out. Personally I don’t have very sensitive skin or an aversion to Eau de Chlorine, but I am always on the lookout for new skin care products. When I first started swimming my back itched enough that I decided it was time to bring lotion to the gym even if it seems girly.
After today’s swim, I am in agreement with the multitude of testimonials that the products work great. I do not smell like chlorine and my skin feels moisturized. The products have a fresh clean scent. The only criticism I have is that the lotion was heavier than I normally use.
The real question is whether I would buy the products which range in price from $13.20 to $16.39 for 8 oz sizes. It is kind of a tough sell when I compare costs to my current body care regiment. However once I consider that I swim about 10 days per month, the incremental annual cost is only about 10% of my annual swim pass cost and an easier pill to swallow.
