Coral Sea

Usually I would prefer to post glamorous video from crystal clear waters, but I decided to try taking the GoPro out for some local Colorado scuba diving.  As you can see, I have an awful green tint due to the white balance and murky waters, but still took some reasonable shots.  The second shot shows some of the small fish.  Visibility is around 6 to 8 feet and we were at a depth of around 15 feet.

The following is a short video clip.  The video includes a good sized bass.  The lake is stocked periodically.

Unfortunately, the camera flaked on me 15 minutes into the dive, so I was not able to capture anything when the visibility improved.  I still think local diving on a regular basis is the best way to develop and maintain skills.

I was just reading about how a Magenta filter can help remove the green tint and provide more true to life color.  I plan on picking up one of these before my next effort at freshwater video capture.
