We got our fill of mermaids, kraken, unicorns, elephant birds, and dragons at the Denver Museum of Nature and Science. Given the weather, this event was lightly attended and a lot of fun. All of the attendants were eager to talk to the kids and adults alike. Even the mythical Jackelope was on display.
