IKEA

I finally made it to the IKEA in south Denver.  I have never been a big fan of megastores, but my wife was enthusiastic so we loaded up the family and made the trip.  The store is laid out really intelligently and you get to see nearly all of the products in their environment.  If one were starting from scratch, the bedroom and office models are really efficient and organized.  Incorporating IKEA products into the mismatched cobbled together model that is our kids room is a tougher stretch.

We did find some nice bookshelves that were truly painless to assemble.  We also bought some kitchen sundries.  We had lunch in the cafeteria and even stopped by the cafe at the end to take home some pre-packaged foods including vegetarian "meatballs" and Lingonberry Jam.

The items in the store really are an excellent value and well designed.  It is probably best to go in with a plan.  We did not have a plan and browsed and shopped for a little over two hours before escaping.
