Memorial Day Weekend

Memorial Day is set aside to honor those who have made the ultimate sacrifice for this nation.  To that end, we put the flag up and keep them and their families, friends and loved ones in our thoughts.

This year the family and I also got some work done around the house and had some fun as well.  The weekend kicked off with my 7 year old's last piano class before summer break.  Saturday was all about painting.  We recently had a new fence installed and spent 7 hours, just over 4 gallons and 3 brushes to get two coats of stain and sealant onto that fence.  Sunday was a little more fun and we went on a family bike ride which covered around 4 miles and stopped by 3 different playgrounds over the course of about an hour and a half.  Monday kicked off with a CrossFit workout, followed by buying the girls roller skates and heading over to Skate City in Arvada for a couple of hours.

It was really nice to be in town and all together for Memorial Day weekend.  Last year my wife and I were in Telluride without the kids.  It was a nice way to recognize our tenth anniversary.
