Florida - October 2023

We were back in Florida for a family vacation.  This was a relatively short trip, but still good to get away and spend some time with family.

Wednesday - Evening flight out, took a while to get rental car and drive to my Father in law's place.

Thursday - Slept in, went to Tijuana Flats for lunch and drove to Tampa.  While my brother in law lives within the city limits, they are 20ish minutes north of downtown Tampa (near Lutz).  Hung out at the pool and had homemade Indian food for dinner.

Friday - I went to CrossFit Lutz, then Legacy Coins and Collectibles and finally a meeting before heading back home for Beach Day!  We drove to MacDill AFB home of Central Command and played on the beach, but did not really get in the water.  MacDill has its own beach and marina adjacent to an RV park, but the gulf waters were a little murky for my tastes.  We should have brought some beach toys or at least a frisbee to play with.  We had lunch at Charley's near the BX.  That night we got pizza for dinner and later went out for ice cream at Jeremiah's

Saturday - Carrollwood Day School 5K followed by Halloween Spooktacular at the Avila Golf & Country Club.  Good food, live band, face painting, caricatures and bouncy castles.

Sunday - Easy day, followed by Navratri celebration at the Indian Convention and Cultural Center.  Really nice facility.  Flew back to Denver.  Evening flight again, but without checking bags we got to parking spot quickly and were home by 11:30 PM.
