The Dodgers came to town and Nisha and I had the opportunity to attend the last day of the series on Monday, April 20th. We drove to CDOT and took the light rail to Union Station and walked to the park. Getting to our seats took about an hour and I was thrilled to learn we were in Section 119, Row 3, Seats 1-2. These were the best seats I have ever had for a baseball game. Of course, I have only scene MLB and some minor league games. We were so close that we actually showed up on some of the camera shots.
The Rockies scored first, but quickly fell behind. They ultimately lost 12-3 to the defending World Series Champions. It was an exciting game. Ohtani played well, he got to first once on an error and was intentionally walked once. The Rockies had 3 errors during the contest which was unusual. Most unusual was a balk that was called with all of the runners advancing and the batter staying in the box.
Getting home was trickier. We missed the light rail and caught an uber rather than waiting 30 minutes. After that, everything went smoothly.
