Bracketology II

It ain’t over ‘till the fat lady sings, or in this case until the court is stormed and the nets are cut down. While I did have a dismal second round, my proclivity not to pick many upsets has worked in my favor as all four #1 seeds entered the final four.

When I was younger, I did follow Memphis State University basketball. I recall at least one player from our high school team going on to play at MSU, now know as University of Memphis. This was my motivation for selecting them to win the big dance. I did not realize the buzz it would have in Memphis. Even my Mom was quick to point out that Memphis had not reached the final four in 25 years.

If Memphis can defeat Kansas tonight, it will mean a second place finish in the Tao of Poker pool and a fourth place finish in my wife’s office pool. Memphis is a 2 point favorite but as it has been pointed out multiple times throughout the tournament they call it March Madness for a reason. Enjoy the championship game tonight.
