It has felt like a little bit of a setback on the training front. I did some solid cycling but have been a little lazy in the pool sticking to laps rather than technique development such as sighting and breathing properly.
My cycling mileage jumped from 35 to 55 miles this past week. It is still a far cry from a 70.3 attempt, but a solid cycling week for my current sprint plans which includes a mere 12 mile bike ride.
More importantly my cycling goal for the year of 300 miles has already been shattered with the bulk of the cycling season still in store. I am currently at just below 400 miles, which is a real achievement. The past several years, I have seen my bike hanging upside down more in the garage than right side up on the blacktop.
