Busy Week

The absence of posting is an indication of a week that is out of the ordinary. Nothing new or exciting to comment on, so instead my loyal readers are subject to a recount of the week.

My parents were in town this past weekend and we had a nice visit. The weather was hit and miss, but they did enjoy time with the grandkids. We also made a journey to play cards, which was a reasonable outing as well. Between the 3 of us we were ahead of the games and we also got a complimentary meal. They headed out on Monday and I headed back to the office after a three day weekend.

Sunday night and Monday morning, my knee started acting up again and I cannot figure out what ticked it off. Thursday, April 9th I did run on concrete and then biked Friday and Saturday. I typically do not train legs three days in a row, so that could have been a factor. At any rate I have been in the pool this week with 900 yard sessions Monday and Wednesday.

The girls have been a handful. Our 2 year old was at day care Tuesday and Thursday and that usually give my wife a break. However, our newborn is still struggling with asleep-awake and cannot get into a routine where she is comfortable without being underfed or overfed. It is tough on the household.

This weekend will be interesting with up to 2 feet of snow being forecast between Friday and Saturday. This affects training, my weekly poker trip and most likely softball as well. This snow bound time together should be quality time. Next week my wife will be putting in her reserve time and I will have a friend coming in from out of town for the weekend.

It is never a dull moment with a family.
