Surrogates

This installment of movie Monday is courtesy of Netflix. I recently had the opportunity to see the movie Surrogates with Bruce Willis. The premise was interesting enough. In the future, improvements in robotics have people living through controlled surrogate bodies. While the developments were originally for the disabled, they have been embraced by society. As a result infectious disease and crime are nearly eradicated as nobody “leaves” the house, aside from bands of individuals who refuse to embrace the technology.

The story line is great, but the acting was not all that great. Further the special effects were well below what I have come to expect from recent science fiction. Overall I would not recommend this film.

Health & Fitness Update: I have turned the corner on my chest congestion and even got in a nice bike ride on Mother’s Day while the wife and kids were napping.
